Our Story
I created Practicing Wellness because I saw a need that wasn’t being met. After a decade of practicing law in New York, I reached a breaking point. The long hours, constant pressure, and relentless demands of work began to take a toll. At the same time, challenges in my personal life made it extremely challenging to balance both my professional and private life. I found myself overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, and out of balance.
Despite outward success, I struggled with stress and anxiety, increasingly disconnected from the things that brought me joy. My health, relationships, and overall happiness were suffering, and I realized I couldn’t continue down this path. Something needed to change.
I decided to step back and reevaluate my approach to work and life. I started carving out time for things that brought me peace and stillness, which in turn led to greater focus. I sought out practices like yoga, meditation, breathwork, and I began exercising every day. This not only helped me rediscover a sense of calm and balance, it also allowed me to approach my work with a renewed sense of clarity and purpose.
This transformation inspired me to start Practicing Wellness. I wanted to create a space where other legal professionals could find the balance they so desperately need. I know firsthand how easy it is to lose yourself in the demands of the profession, but I also know there is a better way.
Practicing Wellness is here to help attorneys reclaim their well-being and build sustainable, fulfilling careers. My goal is to empower others to see that the path to thriving in the legal profession isn’t through stress and sacrifice—it’s through integrating balance, mindfulness, and holistic self-care into your daily life.
